This year’s conference will not only address the outcomes and learnings of wells drilled on the NCS recently, there will also be talks from operators outside the NCS to help knowledge transfer from across the basin. For anyone involved in exploration – be it near-field or more frontier – this conference offers a great opportunity to learn first hand about the results of key exploration wells drilled across the NCS.

The Conjugate Margins Conferences are biennial scientific meetings, independently organised since 2008, focused on improving knowledge of the geological evolution, geoenergy prospectivity and geohazards of divergent Atlantic margin basins. They are intended to bring together representatives of industry, government and academia who are interested in relationships between the margin evolution and geoenergy systems, with a regional focus on the North, Central & South Atlantic basins, to lead to a better understanding of the prospectivity of these areas. The 2024 Conjugate Margins Conference will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, following the successful event in Marrakesh, Morocco in 2022. We expect to attract participants from a variety of countries, public and private institutions, researchers and professionals, and students are strongly encouraged to participate through discounted registration. The Sessions will cover Geodynamics, Depositional Systems, Sustainable GeoEnergy and New Methods to unravel continental margins.
