The conference offers a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the commercial and financial landscape of the upstream oil and gas sector across Asia-Pacific. It will also provide a platform for professionals active in the region to connect with financial institutions and investor groups.

Expert speakers from leading organisations will present on key topics including the Asia-Pacific macro-outlook, exploration hotspots, current and future developments, M&A activity, and financing strategies. The programme will also feature a dedicated Farmout and Government Opportunities Forum in the afternoon.

The Operations Geoscience Conference (OGC) returns after a 6 year absence on the 18th June 2026 at the prestigious Geological Society, Burlington House, London, hosted by the London Petrophysical Society (LPS).

The conference will be bringing together geoscientists working at the interface of subsurface understanding and well delivery. This year’s theme, “Evolution,” will explore how the role of the Operations Geoscientist is adapting to new challenges, technologies, and opportunities across the energy sector.

The conference will showcase practical insights and lessons learned from across the industry, covering topics such as well planning and delivery, real-time operations and geosteering, PPFG and geomechanics, formation evaluation, subsurface uncertainty, and the integration of geoscience with drilling and production teams, all with an eye to the future, and potential “Evolution” of our role within the energy mix.

OGC 2026 aims to create a practical, discussion-led forum for the operations geoscience community to share experience, strengthen collaboration, and discuss the future of the discipline.
