Aernout Korevaar will talk about recent activities in the basal Rotliegend play offshore the Netherlands, including the development of the N05-A field and future drilling plans. Camille Burgess will subsequently address key learnings from appraising the Crosgan discovery on the UK Mid North Sea High. Penguins Reborn: Redevelopment of the Penguins Cluster
Discovered in 1974, the Penguins Cluster in the Northern North Sea originally produced between 2003 and 2021 as a long-distance subsea tieback to the Brent Charlie platform. In 2025 production at Penguins was restarted via a dedicated floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facility, complemented by an extensive development drilling campaign, marking a new chapter for the cluster.
This presentation spans the 50-year evolution of Penguins, from discovery and initial development through to redevelopment, focusing on subsurface insights from the recent drilling campaign and future opportunities across the cluster.
