CCS Conference 2026

Copenhagen metropolitan area, Denmark

Denmark’s CO₂ storage sector is entering a new phase. Exploration licences are being executed, the first storage approval is in place, and geological data from active work programmes is beginning to inform real decisions.

DTU Offshore’s 5th CCS Conference brings together geoscientists, engineers, and project leads working on CCS storage – in Denmark and beyond. Industry partners holding exploration licences will present technical findings from their ongoing work programmes, covering e.g. reservoir characterisation, containment, injectivity, and preliminary risk assessments. Stakeholder engagement and public perception – increasingly central to onshore storage development – will also be addressed.

International speakers from advanced CCS projects, including Porthos and Viking CCS, will share practical lessons from legacy well repurposing, subsurface characterisation, and storage maturation.

For professionals working on CCS, this conference offers a technically grounded programme centred on Denmark’s storage development.
