Celebrating the 20th year of the Africa E&P Conference, the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB) is pleased to announce that this annual event, packed with high-quality technical presentations covering the African E&P sector, is taking place on the 14th and 15th of September this year.
Co-organised with the Houston Geological Society, the conference will be delivered as a fully online event, which means that more people from across the world can attend.
With a programme that looks beyond petroleum, including a session dedicated to CCUS and Geothermal, the conference will not disappoint when it comes to technical excellence. Philip Ringrose from Equinor and NTNU will kick off the technical sessions on Day 1 with an overview of CO2 storage potential for Africa, followed by a series of talks focusing on geothermal exploration across the continent.
In what follows, a diverse range of technical talks is addressing some of the upcoming and closely-watched continental margins of Africa, such as the Mozambique, South Africa and Mauritanian offshore areas. Given TotalEnergies’ recent success in Africa, it is good to see that the company has a strong presence at the conference, with multiple technical talks.
In addition to the virtual conference on 14 & 15 September, the PESGB will also be hosting the Africa 2021 Live Event at PETEX on Thursday 25 November 2021 at the Business Design Centre, London. This event will give you the opportunity to engage with your colleagues and friends in-person.
