Finally, the results are in! Votes have been counted, prize winners have been notified and we can now reveal the successful entrants in our 10th Anniversary Photo Competition.
The judges tell me that the entries were of a particularly high standard throughout so congratulations and thank you to everyone that took part. We hope you enjoy these winning entries as much as we have.

1st: Miguel Ángel – Fissure type craters of Lakagigar, Iceland. The 1783-4 eruption of basalt lava and clouds of poisonous hydrofluoric acid and sulfur dioxide had catastrophic affects of global proportions.
2nd: Piyaphong Chenrai – The Mount Tongariro crater complex, Mount Tongariro National Park, North Island, New Zealand: looking from the rim of Blue Crater across Central Crater towards the very active, eponymous Red Crater, with the secondary cone of Mount Ngaurahoe behind.
3rd: Miguel Ángel – Bathers at Itzurun Beach, Zumaia, Spain seemingly unaware of the geological drama that surrounds them!
