Chrysaor Norge AS has awarded Applied Petroleum Technology (APT) a frame agreement to provide geochemical and biostratigraphic analyses for the operator’s E&P activities on the Norwegian continental shelf.
Under the agreement, APT will provide geochemical and biostratigraphic analyses including interpretation of drilling samples and other reservoir data.
APT has already started working on the 15/12-25 Jerv well and is also involved in analysing samples from the 15/12-26 Ilder exploration well in production license 973, located close to the UK border in the southern North Sea. Chrysaor is the operator on both wells.
“We have supported Chrysaor on the UKCS in the past as well as on the Norwegian continental shelf. We look forward to providing value to Chrysaor’s exploration efforts through our extensive NCS knowledge and experience,” says Geir Hansen, APT’s head of petroleum geochemistry.
For the first time, APT will also conduct biostratigraphic analyses for Chrysaor. “We are very pleased to work on the Jerv and Ilder wells and look forward to be involved in future drilling activities too,” says Dr. Marie-Caroline Blanc, general manager of APT’s biostratigraphy department.
