If you want to hear about Total’s Culzean HPHT discovery and its way to first production, it’s not too late yet to freely register for Devex 2020 and learn all about this milestone gas development.
This year marks the 17th DEVEX Conference and it’s the only technical conference of its size which is focused on the full cycle of reservoir discovery, evaluation, development and recovery in the UK.
Starting today at 11.00 am BST, the programme kicks off with an overview from Marianne Eide – Shell UK’s Development Manager.
The backbone of the conference are the technical talks, presented by the main operators across the UKCS such as Neptune, Total, BP, Shell, Chrysaor and Spirit. These technical talks offer great insights into new technologies used in mature UKCS fields.
Also, the service industry is well represented through providing details on latest technologies to better operate and manage fields.
Most days, the programme runs from 12.30 until 15.00 BST in the afternoon, with today and Thursday having a series of interesting keynotes starting at 11.00 am BST, such as Alan James from Pale Blue Dot and Jon Gluyas from the Durham Energy Institute.
Two masterclasses are planned as well. These are slightly longer talks on the changing North Sea company landscape (Westwood Energy, Thursday 6-7 pm) and core data and North Sea geological development (Tuesday 6-7 pm).
Next month (14-15 October), it is your chance to hear about recent discoveries on the Norwegian Continental Shelf during the seventh NCS Exploration Conference. Also presented by the operators, this event is key to stay up to date with the latest developments in Norway.
